Preventive Care

Our practice pays particular attention to preventive measures, especially screening for diseases and ensuring patients are up-to-date with immunizations. Our state-of-the-art electronic health records (EHR) system makes it easy to identify and notify patients who can benefit from these procedures.

Some important screening tests include: mammography to screen for breast cancer in women; colonoscopy to screen for colorectal cancer; and specialized testing to look for chronic kidney disease in patients at risk.

Key immunizations include: two types of Pneumococcal vaccine to prevent pneumonia; Flu vaccine to prevent Influenza; Hepatitis A and B vaccines to prevent those diseases; Pertussis vaccine to prevent Whooping Cough.

Early detection of cancer and chronic disease, particularly when there are no symptoms, often improves treatment outcomes, reduces complications, and lowers costs.
